Abstract: The research paper titled “The French Luxury Houses and Leadership: A Case Study of Hennessy” explores the impact of leadership and leaders on the success of luxury houses. Its purpose is to provide recommendations for the management of luxury companies, either by using the leadership of Hennessy as a model or by implementing the findings from the study. The paper aims to demonstrate that leadership is not just a tool or part of an organization but rather the engine that drives a luxury company’s success. The research question that this paper seeks to answer is: What is the importance of a leader and good leadership in a luxury house like Hennessy? The study is divided into four parts. The first part introduces the subject and defines the luxury industry and French luxury houses. The second part explains the concept of leadership to provide a better understanding of the topic. The third part is a theoretical analysis of secondary data collected by the author. The fourth and practical part focuses on primary data, including qualitative and quantitative information obtained through interviews and surveys. Through research and this study, we will discover that luxury houses such as Hennessy finally have significant leadership power inside their organization itself or even the society in general. They have a role to play. Finally, the last part of the paper proposes recommendations for the management of Maison Hennessy based on the significant results of the analysis.
