dc.description.abstract | The present study sought to explore the relationship between current adult attachment and recovery styles in a Greek community-based sample of psychotic patients. Fifty participants with a diagnosis of schizoaffective disorder and current members of psychosocial rehabilitation Day Center completed the Recovery Style Questionnaire and the Revised Adult Attachment Scale. Socio-demographic and clinical information were also collected including clinician-rated service engagement evaluations. Findings revealed that attachment insecurity manifested either as an insecure sense of self represented by the attachment anxiety dimension, or as fear related to interpersonal rejection, seems to be a significant predictor of recovery styles. Clinical implications and methodological concerns are discussed. Directions for further research are provided. | en_US |
